Xin Bowen is the art-materials brand of Tengyuan Company, founded in 2008. Behind the brand sits brush production that began at our Jiangxi factory in 1988 โ two different dates, and it is worth keeping them separate.
1988 โ where the brushes come from
Brush making is the skill the business was built on. Production started at our Jiangxi factory in 1988, and brush assembly โ filament selection, ferrule crimping, handle finishing โ is still the part of the range we control most directly. A buyer who has to reorder the same brush three times will judge us on that consistency, not on how wide the catalogue is.
2008 โ where the brand starts
The Xin Bowen brand was founded in 2008 to give the range one identity for export customers. Brush production starts at our supply origins in Nanchang (Jiangxi) and Yangzhou (Jiangsu). Our three factories include an art-pigment plant in Ningbo, and our company and distribution operations are based in Yiwu, Zhejiang, which is also where buyers meet us.
What the range covers today
- Artist brushes โ brush sets, single brushes, liners and detail brushes, watercolour and face-painting brushes.
- Paint and colour โ paint, colour pencils, markers, soft pastel.
- Sketching โ sketching tools and sets, sketch books and pads, charcoal and graphite.
- Canvas and easels โ stretched canvas, canvas boards, wooden easels.
- Pottery and clay tools, palettes and painting knives.
Production and capacity
We run three factories, one of them our art-pigment plant in Ningbo, with 65,000 mยฒ of factory area and 13 in-house designers. Each of our brush lines produces more than 100,000 brushes per month โ capacity figures here refer to the brush lines specifically.
Why buyers work with a factory
Three practical differences. The sample you approve is made on the same line that ships the order. A specification change is discussed with the people who set the line, not relayed through a middleman. And asked what a line produces each month, a factory can answer with a number.
Documentation
Our paint, sketching-tools and soft-pastel lines hold MSDS documentation written to UN GHS Rev.7 and US OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1200; the soft-pastel range additionally carries an ASTM D-4236 review against US CPSC 16 CFR ยง1500.14(b)(8); and CPC / EN71 certificates cover the lines that require them. We quote report numbers rather than describing a logo โ a number that cannot be produced on request is marketing.
How we quote
We do not publish prices. A brush set, a canvas and a clay tool do not share a costing model, and the number depends on your specification, colour count and packaging. Send a model number or a use case and you will get a factory quotation with the MOQ for each item and the lead time โ whether or not you order.
